Refund, Cancellation & Order Policy

By placing an order with Empowered Mama Jewelry, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies outlined below. These terms apply to all purchases, services, and transactions.

Due to the custom, personalized, and sentimental nature of our products and services, strict policies are necessary to protect both parties.


1:1 Lactation Consultations

Non-Refundable Services

All lactation consultations are non-refundable. Upon booking, your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.

Rescheduling

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule. Cancellations or no-shows with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the session fee.


Keepsake Jewelry

Custom Nature & Assumption of Risk

All keepsake pieces are custom-made using customer-provided inclusions. By placing an order, you acknowledge:

  • The product is personalized and cannot be resold.

  • Minor variations in color, texture, or finish may occur due to the handmade process.

  • You assume all risks associated with mailing irreplaceable materials.

All keepsake sales are final.


Processing & Turnaround

  • Processing time begins when inclusions are physically received and logged into our system.

  • Order date does not determine production start.

  • Current processing time is a minimum of 2 months and may extend to 4–4.5 months depending on order volume.

  • Turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees.

  • Processing times may change at any time without prior notice.

Inclusions must be received within:

  • 1 year of purchase for standard metals.

  • 6 months of purchase for Solid Gold orders.

Failure to send inclusions within the stated timeframe may require a reactivation or storage fee. After the deadline, pricing adjustments may apply due to material cost fluctuations.


Cancellations

  • Orders may be canceled within 24 hours for a full refund.

  • After 24 hours, store credit may be issued at our discretion.

  • Once inclusions are received, the order is considered in progress and is no longer eligible for cancellation, refund, or credit.

  • Once materials are ordered or production begins, cancellation is not permitted.


Inclusion Handling & Liability Limitation

Customers are solely responsible for shipping inclusions to our studio.

We are not liable for:

  • Lost or damaged inclusions in transit.

  • Carrier delays.

  • Improper packaging by the customer.

  • Inaccurate shipping addresses provided by the customer.

Once inclusions are received, they are handled with professional care. However, due to the organic and delicate nature of materials such as breastmilk, ashes, fabric, hair, or other memorial elements, absolute preservation results cannot be guaranteed.

Our total liability, if any claim were to arise, is strictly limited to the amount paid for the product itself. Under no circumstances shall Empowered Mama Jewelry be liable for emotional distress, sentimental value, or consequential damages.


Custom Metalsmith Jewelry

Non-Refundable Deposits

Deposits are required to begin production and are non-refundable. Deposits cover design time, sourcing, and labor allocation.

Design Approval

Written approval of sketches, CAD renderings, or specifications constitutes final acceptance of the design. Once approved, the design may not be disputed based on preference.

Final Sale

All custom metalsmith pieces are final sale and non-returnable.

Modifications & Repairs

Alterations or repairs may incur additional fees and are handled at our discretion.


Shipping & Risk Transfer

Risk of Loss

Risk of loss transfers to the customer once the package is scanned by the shipping carrier.

Empowered Mama Jewelry is not responsible for:

  • Lost packages

  • Stolen packages

  • Misdelivered packages

  • Packages marked “Delivered”

  • Carrier delays

  • Weather disruptions

  • Postal service errors

Tracking Responsibility

Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information once issued.

Insurance & Signature Confirmation

Shipping insurance and signature confirmation are optional and must be selected at checkout.

If insurance is not selected, the customer assumes full responsibility for any loss once the package leaves our possession.

If insurance is selected, we will assist in filing a carrier claim; however, claim approval is determined solely by the carrier.

Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping address. Orders shipped to an incorrectly entered address are not eligible for refund or replacement.


High-Value Solid Gold Addendum

The following terms apply specifically to Solid Gold and high-value custom orders.

Market Volatility

Gold pricing fluctuates daily based on global market conditions. Quotes are valid for a limited time. If inclusions are not received within 6 months of purchase, repricing may occur based on current gold market value.

Mandatory Insurance Requirement

Due to the value of solid gold pieces:

  • Shipping insurance is strongly required.

  • Signature confirmation may be required at our discretion.

  • We reserve the right to upgrade shipping methods for security purposes.

If a customer declines insurance when offered, the customer assumes all risk of loss once shipped.

Documentation & Media Use

All solid gold pieces are photographed and documented prior to shipment for:

  • Quality control

  • Fraud prevention

  • Insurance documentation

By purchasing, you consent to internal documentation. Public sharing may occur unless written opt-out is received prior to completion.

Fraud Prevention

High-value orders may require:

  • Identity verification

  • Signature confirmation

  • Verified billing address matching

Orders flagged for potential fraud may be delayed or canceled at our discretion.


Digital Products

All digital products are final sale and non-refundable.


Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash except where required by law.


Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

By placing an order, you agree to contact us first to resolve any concerns.

If a chargeback or dispute is initiated:

  • Production and shipment will immediately pause.

  • Open disputes automatically void fulfillment eligibility.

  • We reserve the right to submit all documentation, including signed policies and order confirmations, to the payment processor.

If a dispute is resolved in our favor, processing will resume. If not resolved, the order is considered forfeited.

We reserve the right to deny future service to customers who initiate fraudulent disputes.


Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Weather events

  • Postal service disruptions

  • Supply chain shortages

  • Government restrictions

  • Illness or emergency


Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.

By completing your purchase, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood this policy.

  • Accept all stated timelines.

  • Accept risk transfer upon shipment.

  • Agree to the limitation of liability outlined above.
